Research published in open access journals requires no subscription, is available to all and - due to the full-text being available online - is indexed by regular search engines, as well as the more specialist A&I databases. Serendipity is afoot.

We are pleased to announce that both PMC Physics A and PMC Physics B are now listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals. DOAJ are also mirroring content from both journals on their site.

Congratulations are due to the winners of the Elements Game at the recent APS March Meeting in New Orleans. The winning pair of people with matching elements were Hugh Wilson of UC Davis and Saswati Pujari of Northwestern University. They both won an iPod Shuffle.
