For reviewersPeer review policiesPeer review is designed to ensure that the research published is 'good science'. Submitted articles are reviewed by two or more experts. Peer reviewers have four possible options:
Publication of research articles by PhysMath Central is dependent primarily on their validity and coherence, as judged by peer reviewers, who are also asked whether the writing is comprehensible and how interesting they consider the article to be. Submitted manuscripts will be sent to peer reviewers, unless they are either out of scope or below threshold for the journal, or the presentation or written English is of an unacceptably low standard. When asking for revisions, reviewers have three possible goals: to tighten the arguments based on existing data, to identify where more data are needed and to improve the clarity and coherence of the paper. PhysMath Central is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). PhysMath Central endorses the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) Policy Statement on Geopolitical Intrusion on Editorial Decisions. |
